The Dodge Challenger is a sports car with the design and feel of an old-school American muscle car. It has some of the most powerful engines available to consumers in Paragould and many fun performance features. The 2023 edition is the last year of production for the Dodge Challenger.

 

Interior and Exterior

The Challenger stands out among sports cars for more than just performance. It also has an expansive interior with a reasonable cargo space; most class rivals have a tiny rear row and minimal trunk. The interior cabin is minimalist and straightforward, without ornate decoration or luxe elements. The seating is comfortable and well-designed for the large amount of acceleration that you can expect with this car. Performance

Tech and Features

The Challenger has a seven-inch touchscreen that can be upgraded to 8.4 inches across, plus standard Bluetooth and smartphone connectivity. Safety

The only standard safety feature of the Challenger is a rear camera for parking and backing up in Walnut Ridge. These are options for most trims, so there is no minimum trim to access them. The Dodge Challenger has yet to go through crash testing, which is standard for sports cars due to their high cost.

 

Trims

The seven trims for the Challenger are restricted mainly by their engines. The base SXT trim has the standard features and base engine, plus a long list of options. The GT trim adds suspension, steering, and brake upgrades. The R/T trim has the 375-horsepower upgrade engine and an improved rear axle with the same features as the GT trim.

The Scat Pack moves up to the 485-horsepower engine, includes further brakes and suspension upgrades, provides selectable driving modes, and includes some previously optional tech upgrades like the larger screen. The SRT Hellcat trim has the first Hellcat engine at 717 horsepower. It gains an upgraded differential, top-shelf brakes, a competition suspension with three modes, and an open-air intake. The SRT Hellcat Redeye uses the same base to include the 797-horsepower engine. The Hellcat Super Stock tops it off with the 807-horsepower engine and drag racing tires.

2023 Dodge Challenger Trim Levels

The Dodge Challenger comes in a variety of dynamic trim levels and you can get the muscle of the Challenger in just about any format that fits your budget. 2023 is the last model year that the Challenger will be available in a gas-powered format. The two-door Challenger gives you a variety of engine choices and options along with some of the most unique paint colors in the industry. The SXT trim

The entry-level SXT model is powered by a 3.6-liter V6 engine that's good for 303 horsepower. Note the 160-mph speedometer and tachometer for a sense of what this Challenger is all about. The R/T trim

The R/T takes the Challenger up a notch with a 5.7-liter HEMI® V8 that can crank out 375 horsepower and operates with the fun of a standard six-speed manual transmission. Go with the eight-speed automatic and horsepower drops only slightly. The R/T and all higher trims come exclusively with rear-wheel drive. The R/T raises the performance factor with a 3.90:1 rear axle, a standard limited-slip differential and an active stainless steel performance exhaust.

The R/T Scat Pack

With the RT/Scat Pack you dial up performance even higher with a 485-horsepower HEMI® V8 and a standard six-speed manual transmission or an eight-speed automatic. The RT/Scat Pack comes with standard Brembo 4-piston performance brakes, a Launch Control system, a heavy-duty alternator, SRT configurable drive modes and Severe Duty II engine cooling. The R/T Scat Pack suspension get a high-performance upgrade and this trim conveys plenty of attitude with a 180-mph speedometer.

The SRT Hellcat

The SRT Hellcat is one of the most ferocious muscle cars in America with a 6.2-liter HEMI® V8 that can generate an amazing 717 horsepower. The Hellcat comes with a "we mean business" 200-mph speedometer, a dual snorkel hood, red brake calipers, a performance rear spoiler and an SRT flat-bottom steering wheel. The Hellcat adds a 3.70:1 axle with a heavy-duty limited-slip differential, an open-air induction box and Race Cooldown, a special system that reduces inner coolant temperature after the engine shuts down.

The SRT Hellcat Redeye Widebody

This is the ultimate Dodge Challenger with a formidable supercharged 6.2-liter HEMI® V8 engine that can deliver a life-altering 797 horsepower. The Hellcat Redeye manages all that power with a muscular eight-speed automatic transmission, a 2.62:1 rear axle and the SRT Power Chiller, a system that redirects air conditioning refrigerant to cool down the inner coolant.
